About the CITB SSSTS Course

An SSSTS qualification is an essential part of site safety supervisor training.  The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and is nationally recognised within the construction industry.

Who is this SSSTS Course for?

This 2 day SSSTS training course is intended for those who have supervisory responsibilities. It is aimed at first line managers, foreman, gangers, team leaders, supervisors and those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.

What Does the SSSTS Course Cover?

The Site Supervisor Safety Training Course will cover the following topics:

• The Role of the Supervisor
• Health & Safety at Work Act
• Monitor site activities effectively
• Behavioural Safety in the Workplace
• PPE
• Site Inductions & Toolbox Talks
• Risk assessments and the need for method statements

There is also a 1 day CITB – SSSTS Refresher Course available to book online, also held at many of our training venues in Newcastle and across the UK.  This SSSTS refresher course is designed for anyone who has attended the 2 day SSSTS course, whose certificate is due to expire.
