About the CITB SSSTS Course
The SSSTS certification is an essential part of site safety supervisor training. The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and is nationally recognised within the construction industry, endorsed by the UK Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors on UKCG sites.
Who should attend the SSSTS Course?
This 2 day SSSTS training course is intended for those with supervisory responsibilities i.e. first line managers, foreman, team leaders, supervisors and those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.
What Does the SSSTS Course Cover?

- The Role of the Supervisor
- Health & Safety at Work Act
- Behavioural Safety in the Workplace
- Site Inductions & Toolbox Talks
- Risk assessments and the need for method statements

Linked to this course, is a 1 day CITB – SSSTS Refresher Course available to book online, which is also held in Glasgow amongst 100s of other venues throughout the UK. This refresher course is designed for anyone who has attended this 2 day SSSTS course, whose certificate is due to expire.
