About the CITB SSSTS Course

An SSSTS qualification is an essential part of site safety supervisor training.  The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and is nationally recognised within the construction industry, endorsed by the UK Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors on UKCG sites.

Who is this SSSTS Course for?

This 2 day SSSTS training course is intended for those in or about to start a job with supervisory responsibilities. It is aimed at first line managers, supervisors, foreman, gangers and team leaders.

What Does the SSSTS Course Cover?

The SSSTS training course will cover the following topics:

• Health & Safety at Work Act
• The Role of the Supervisor
• Behavioural Safety in the Workplace
• PPE
• Site Inductions & Toolbox Talks
• Risk assessments and the need for method statements
• Monitor site activities effectively

There is also a 1 day CITB – SSSTS Refresher Course available to book online, also held at many of our Cardiff training venues and across the UK.  This refresher course is designed for anyone who has attended the 2 day SSSTS course, whose certificate is due to expire.
