About the CITB SSSTS Course

An SSSTS certification is an essential part of site safety supervisor training.  The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and is recognised nationwide within the construction industry, endorsed by the UK Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors on UKCG sites.

Who is this SSSTS Training Course for?

This 2 day SSSTS training course is intended for those who have, or are about to have supervisory responsibilities. It is aimed at first line managers, foremen, gangers, team leaders, supervisors and those due to have supervisory responsibilities.

What Does the SSSTS Course Cover?

The following topics will be included within the SSSTS training course:

• The Role of the Supervisor
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Health & Safety at Work Act
• Monitor site activities effectively
• Behavioural Safety in the Workplace
• Site Inductions & Toolbox Talks
• Risk assessments and the need for method statements

There is also a 1 day CITB – SSSTS Refresher Course available to book online, also available at our Birmingham training venues and across the UK.  This SSSTS refresher course is designed for anyone who has attended the 2 day SSSTS course, whose certificate is due to run out.
