CISRS Scaffolder CPD Refresher 2 Day Course

Overview

If you hold a CISRS Scaffolder or CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card, this refresher course is for you. Not only will you be able to keep up to date with any changes in legislation and meet safety regulations, but you’ll maintain your high standards for best practice in the scaffolding industry.

You can book this two-day refresher course up to six months before your current card expires, to refresh your knowledge and renew your card.  Please note, if you have more than six months remaining on your card, you will not be eligible for the course.

Objectives

The objective of this two-day refresher course is to bring you up to date on all legislation related to scaffolding and the construction industry, so you’re aware of any new health and safety practices and legal requirements that affect your work.

This CISRS Scaffolder CPD Refresher course covers the following subjects:

• General scaffolding knowledge refresher
• Industry standards update TG20
• Industry standards update SG4
• Site health and safety
• Protecting the public
• Reporting accidents
• Environmental best practice
• Anchor ties, ropes, wheels and knots
• Alloy towers
• Impact wrenches, noise and vibration
• Vehicles
• Scaffolder responsibilities
• Health, safety and behavioural test
• Temporary works supervision and edge protection
• Scaffold inspection
• Test your knowledge

Assessment

You will need to take two practical tests to pass this CISRS Scaffolder CPD Refresher and maintain your status as a CISRS cardholder. These are:

• Erect / dismantle a mobile aluminium tower
• Practical inspection of scaffolding

On successful completion of the course, delegates will be issued with a new card which is valid for 5 years.

Who Should Attend?

This course is for existing CISRS cardholders only. If you have a CISRS Scaffolder card or a CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card due to expire, you’re welcome to book this refresher course. Please note, if you have more than six months remaining on your card, you will not be eligible for the course.

If your card has expired and you intend to return to scaffolding, you can book the course to refresh your knowledge and maintain high health and safety standards in your work.
