Respirable crystalline silica (RCS) is a dust which is found on worksites where cutting and drilling take place. Once airborne, it can cause serious health problems, which is why there are strict laws around how to work with and manage it.

If you work in construction or an environment containing mineral processing dusts, it’s vital that you’re aware of the dangers.

This self-guided Respirable Crystalline Silica Awareness online course has been created by health and safety professionals in line with UK legislation. There is no time limit to complete it, but you can reasonably expect to wok though the modules in 2 hours. You’ll learn the dangers of silica dust, what your legal responsibilities are, how to carry out risk assessments and control exposure.
