CITB Grant reclaimableThe NVQ Level 2 in Decorative Finishing and Painting course is aimed at candidates who are already working as a painter and decorator and want to achieve a qualification that recognises their skills and expertise. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply for their CSCS Blue Skilled Workers Card.
Topics covered by the course include preparing surfaces prior to painting and how to correctly apply paint using a brush.
Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old and have a good understanding of the English language. This level 2 NVQ course is designed so the learner can gain the qualification while at work and enhance their career prospects.
At the end of the NVQ Level 2 in Decorative Finishing and Painting course, candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills in a number of areas including preparation, applying paint with a brush and finishing.
