This one-day accredited Online CITB Temporary Works Co-Ordinator Refresher course will be delivered remotely, using instructor-led virtual learning. The training course content remains the same as the classroom-based training, however, you’ll attend a scheduled, interactive class via Zoom video conferencing. For this, you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker (sorry, no tablets).
All Temporary Works Co-ordinator certificates are valid for 5 years from the date of issue. Candidates will be required to show their original certificate prior to attending training. Any delegate that does not attend prior to the end date of their certificate will risk their right to attend a refresher course and will be required to attend the full 2 day course.
Covering temporary works on both small and large sites, this 1-day course focuses on risk management, health and safety regulations and relevant legislation to ensure that co-ordinators understand the role and expectations of managing a temporary works site effectively.

By the end of this remote learning 1-day TWCTC refresher course, you’ll have up-to-date knowledge of managing risks on temporary works sites. It will build on your prior understanding of the following:

Please note: Although there are technical elements to this course, it is not a temporary works technical awareness course.
Delegates are required to attend the full day’s training, during which time, they are assessed on the knowledge and understanding of each subject area and are required to sit a multiple-choice test paper consisting of 22 questions, 4 of which are free text questions. The exam pass mark is 78% (21 out of 27).
The exam will be scheduled at a convenient time and is conducted via a 1-2-1 Zoom video call with your tutor. No secondary devices (i.e. mobile phones) are allowed during the exam.
On successfully passing the end of course assessment, delegates will be awarded a CITB certification, which is valid for five years.
The Virtual TWCTC it is only for those who have previously completed the CITB Temporary Works Co-Ordinator Training Course and been awarded a CITB certificate.
If you’re a Temporary Works Co-ordinator, or have managerial responsibility for temporary works on site, you will need to maintain your knowledge by attending a refresher course every five years.

Only those delegates who have successfully passed the two day Temporary Works Co-ordinator course, in the last five years, and can provide evidence of this are eligible to attend the one-day refresher training.
A good understanding of spoken and written English will be necessary to attend and complete the course successfully.
